About the role

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced fulltime Senior Dog Groomer to join our friendly team in our Rose Bay salon. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to our canine clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the process.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

Perform a variety of dog grooming services, including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling

Assess the individual needs and temperament of each dog and adjust your approach accordingly

Ensure the salon maintains a safe and sanitary environment for both pets and staff

Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with pet owners

Mentor and train junior groomers to uphold the high standards of the salon

Maintain detailed records of each grooming session

Contribute to the overall success and growth of the PawsAbout business

About You

Along with a strong work ethic and true passion for dog grooming you'll have/be:

A minimum of 3 years' experience as a professional dog groomer

Full Australian working rights, be a permanent resident or be eligible for sponsorship

Formal certification or training in dog grooming would be highly regarded for this Senior position

Excellent handling and calming techniques for dogs of all sizes and temperaments

Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to build strong relationships with pet owners

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately

A genuine passion for animal welfare and the wellbeing of our canine clients

Breed-specific grooming skills will be assessed individually during the selection process
