About the position

The Library Technical Services Officer – Marketing and Promotions will work within a team to deliver both customer services and technical services to internal and external customers as well as develop and maintain the Library website and social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide circulation services, including item loans/returns, new memberships, and customer support.
• Assist with research enquiries, reader advisory, and local history services.
• Support the planning and delivery of library programs, events, and staff training.
• Maintain library records, statistics, and databases.
• Contribute to acquisitions, cataloguing, and collection maintenance.
• Manage promotional content for the library’s website, social media, and online tools.

About you

• Diploma of Library and Information Services (Library Technical Studies) or other qualifications recognised by the Australian Library and Information Association.
• Current Class C Driver’s license and ability to drive a council vehicle.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver small projects.
• Demonstrated ability to use an Integrated Library Management System.

• Hourly Rate from $39.2554 to $42.3603 per hour (depending on qualifications, skills and experience) plus 12% superannuation
