Your Next Opportunity
GPK Group is seeking a full-time Level 2 Service Desk Engineer to join our newly opened office in Wayville, Adelaide!
As an experienced Service Desk Engineer, your primary role will be part of our end-to-end Service Desk, some onsite desktop-related work, collaborating with our top 10 client base and establishing strong relationships. This is a crucial role within GPK Group that will see the successful candidate designing, building, testing, and implementing ICT systems and solutions for our clients.
Managing the end-to-end process, you will drive client projects and be responsible for effectively documenting the scope of the work and creating accurate records for GPK and the client.
Key areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
Retail Technologies
Networking
Servers and Storage
Internet Service Provision
Hosting
Cloud Technologies
Telecommunications
Security
Technical support, advice, coaching, mentoring and training
You will be providing network and hardware management for our clients. While typically, this will occur during normal Monday to Friday business hours, some after-hours work will also be available for those keen to increase their take-home pay. Please click here for the full job description.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
Critical to your success in this role will be a passion for all things ICT, as well as demonstrated experience in a similar role or wanting to take their career to the next level. Experience in an MSP environment will be highly regarded.
Your highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, along with your confidence, will allow you to build positive relationships with our clients and our broader network of internal and external stakeholders.
Other requirements include:
Experience with a broad range of IT systems and programs, including firewalls, Microsoft platforms and virtual environments
Experience working with a ticketing/documentation system such as ConnectWise or IT Glue
Experience managing complex multisite clients
Technical account management experience
Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
Qualification in related IT
Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with different stakeholders
Additionally, you should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, which will enable you to be creative and innovative in your solutions. You will also seek to find long-term, permanent solutions to the problems presented by your clients.
