Employment Term: Permanent Full-Time (76 hours per fortnight)
Location: Cairns
Remuneration: $44.58 p/hr + Super + NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)

Your part in our UnitingCare team
Provide support to the practitioners and families who access the Family Support and the Community Support Service.
Your key duties will involve but not limited to:
Act as the first point of contact for families referred to the Family Support Program (including Child and Adolescent Counselling)
Processing enquiries and referrals into the program from a variety of sources and, in consultation with the Local Service Manager and team members, undertake assessments processes to determine eligibility.
Assist families to access support services including practical and crisis support where necessary.
In consultation with the Local Service Manager and team members:
Develop and initiate activities delivered from a community hub that promote personal and social development and a sense of belonging and wellbeing in the community.
Develop and initiate activities to improve the quality, efficiency, and networking of community services.
What makes a difference for us?
Tertiary qualifications in a human services or related field and/or demonstrated ability to work in collaboration with the community in planning, driving, implementing and evaluating community development activities and programs.
Current Drivers Licence.
Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
Experience in intake and assessment work within family support services
Demonstrated experience in working across the community sector and child protection systems to support vulnerable families.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement plans, programs and activities to provide community support services to disadvantaged members of the community.
