An exciting part-time opportunity exists for a Registered Building Practitioner (WA) to take on a hands-off supervisory role with a growing construction operator in Perth.

This contractor covers renovations and extensions South of the river.
Can be anywhere from the river down to Mandurah

This position is ideal for an experienced Site Manager or Site Supervisor who's seeking 10-20 hours per week of flexible, rewarding work — with no toolbelt required.

The role will begin at 10 hours per week - which can ramp up to 20hrs by Christmas.

You'll act as the on-site representative for a small contractor, overseeing residential renovation and extension projects to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality expectations are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the contractor's site representative on residential projects
• Conduct daily site visits, maintain logs, and report progress
• Monitor and enforce build quality, compliance, and timelines
• Ensure WHS protocols are followed on all active sites
• Liaise with designers, certifiers, engineers, and council bodies as needed
• Provide technical advice, oversee sequencing, and assist with practical completions
• Maintain budget awareness and flag cost variations early
• Optional: Assist with estimating or pricing tasks where applicable

What You'll Bring

• Current WA Building Practitioner registration (non-negotiable)
• Full clean drivers licence + own vehicle.
• Demonstrated experience in residential renovations, extensions or fit-outs
• In-depth understanding of the NCC/BCA, Australian Standards and local regulations
• Clear, confident communication and strong organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
• Tech-friendly (daily reporting and communication tools)
• Bonus: Experience with pricing, quoting, or estimating

Engagement Details

• Contract / Part-time arrangement
• Start with 10 hours per week (typically 1 full day - can be done 5hrs over 2 days if suits better)
• May increase to 20+ hours per week depending on project demand and mutual fit
