We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Refrigeration & Commissioning Product Manager to lead our refrigeration and electrical division. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in air-conditioning systems, refrigeration mechanics, and commissioning, combined with excellent leadership and problem-solving skills. Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record across both electrical and refrigeration fields in air-conditioning and related equipment.

Hands-on and comfortable working with engineers, tradespeople, and customers.

Licensed and/or experienced refrigeration mechanic with strong knowledge of commissioning.

Proficiency in charging and superheat requirements with R410a & R32 refrigerants.

Experience in inverter compressor systems (setup, fault-finding, commissioning).

Restricted electrical licence with strong electrical testing and fault-finding abilities.

Ability to manage and motivate a team, ensuring high standards of performance.

Qualified and experienced to carry out on-site service work locally and interstate, or coordinate and oversee contractors where required.

Excellent communicator with strong customer service and technical support skills.

Willingness to provide remote technical support (phone/video).

Optional additions for stronger appeal:

Familiarity with HVAC controls and BMS systems (advantageous).

Experience with factory testing, QA/QC procedures, and compliance with Australian Standards.

Strong reporting and documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Division & Team Leadership

Manage daily operations of the refrigeration and electrical division.

Work with engineering on electrical and refrigeration design improvements.

Coordinate with purchasing to ensure correct materials and components are available.

Oversee and optimise production and commissioning processes.

2. After-Sales Support & Customer Service

Provide technical support to installing contractors.

Handle warranty and service advice.

Attend sites when required (local and interstate).

3. Continuous Improvement & Product Development

Drive product improvements in design, reliability, and efficiency.

Provide feedback to management on performance and customer needs.

Support R&D efforts with real-world commissioning insights.

Specific Duties

Supervise the installation of refrigeration and electrical systems.

Commission equipment in the factory, including live electrical testing.

Conduct quality control and operational checks.

Provide troubleshooting advice to contractors.

Undertake on-site analysis and resolution of technical issues.

Salary & Benefits

$150,000 – $180,000 + Super (commensurate with qualifications & experience).
