Let’s talk about the opportunity

The purpose of this role is to work within a multi-disciplinary team to lead investigations into allegations of corrupt conduct in the performance of the Commission’s principal functions.

This is a permanent, full-time position.

Annual salary is $130,000 to $144,696 (which includes overtime allowance), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation (currently 12%) and annual leave loading (currently 17.5%).

A Talent Pool may also be created for future temporary or permanent positions and is valid for a period for up to 18 months

Essential requirements

Candidates will be assessed against the following requirements:

  • The position requires significant experience investigating alleged serious offences, including fraud, and/or public sector misconduct.
  • The position holder must have a good knowledge of the criminal law, the rules of evidence and criminal procedures and an understanding of the Independent Commission Against Corruption Act 1988.
  • The position holder must have well-developed planning and organisational abilities, problem solving and analytical skills and experience using investigative analytics software.
  • Demonstrated ability to write well and the ability to communicate effectively with people of diverse background, occupation, and seniority, both internal and external to the Commission.

The NSW ICAC was established in 1988 as an independent organisation to protect the public interest, prevent breaches of public trust and guide the conduct of public officials in the NSW public sector. We are committed to:
