About the role
Coolamon Shire Council is seeking a Part Time Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Ardlethan Pre-School located in Ardlethan, NSW. This is a part-time position (minimum of 16 hours per week).

Our pre-school is currently operating on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays each week, aligning with the NSW public school terms. Future operating days will be dependant on NSW State Government Funding.

This role will see you partnering with the pre-school director in providing high-quality early childhood education and care to the local community. You will assist with the responsibility of creating a nurturing, stimulating and safe environment that supports the healthy development of young children.

What you'll be doing

Assist with planning, implementing and evaluating engaging learning programs and activities for children aged 3-5 years

Observe and document children's development, providing individualised support and care

Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, families and the wider community

Ensure a safe and hygienic environment, adhering to all relevant health, safety and child protection regulations

Collaborate with the pre-school director to continuously improve teaching practices and the quality of the service

Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge

What we're looking for

Minimum qualification of Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care

Previous experience working as an Early Childhood Educator, in a long day care or preschool setting

Strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children and families

Current First Aid certificate, including anaphylaxis and asthma management training

Working with Children Check clearance
