We’re looking for a highly capable Senior .NET Engineer to join a high-performing squad within a leading enterprise technology team.

This is a 6-month initial contract, offering the opportunity to work on one of Australia’s most widely used digital platforms, with direct impact on millions of daily users.

The Role

You’ll join a cross-functional squad focused on building and optimising large-scale backend systems that power core customer experiences across web and mobile. This work sits at the heart of the digital journey — driving relevance, personalisation, and large-scale product discovery.

You’ll be part of a senior team delivering new features, scaling systems, and bringing cutting-edge approaches (including AI/ML-driven functionality) into production. It’s a fast-moving environment with a many features ready to build, so strong engineering delivery is key.

What You’ll Be Working With

• High-scale backend engineering within a .NET / Azure / Kubernetes environment.
• ElasticSearch as a core component of the platform.
• Large data ingestion pipelines and enterprise-grade integration challenges.
• Complex functionality including personalised recommendations, multi-buy/specials engines, and search optimisation.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong senior-level backend engineer, comfortable delivering at scale.
• Solid experience across .NET Core and Azure cloud services.
• Exposure to distributed systems, APIs, and large data environments.
• Familiarity with ElasticSearch or similar search technologies (a plus, not essential).
• A collaborative engineer who thrives in high-performing squads and can quickly add value.

The Team & Environment

You’ll be working alongside experienced engineers, QA, and product specialists, reporting into a respected engineering lead. The team operates at pace, with plenty of ownership and opportunities to shape solutions.
