How You'll Make a Difference in This Role:
In this role, we are seeking a dedicated part time or full-time housekeeper to join our Abbeyfield Croydon house and take care of all usual housekeeping duties, alongside meal preparation. This role requires someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and enjoys creating delicious and nutritious meals and companionship for older people living in the Abbeyfield house, empowering their independence and improving their quality of life.
Appropriate knowledge and understanding of working with older people, their challenges and protocols is important to deliver effectively in this role.
We're seeking individuals who:
Experience in aged or community care, or a passion to begin your career in this sector.
Empathetic and resourceful and be able to live Abbeyfield’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
Flexible and prepared to help meet the changing needs and schedules of our residents.
Responsibilities:
Perform regular cleaning and organising tasks throughout the home.
Grocery shopping and meal planning.
Prepare daily meals that are both healthy and appetising.
Maintain kitchen and household cleanliness and organisation.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a housekeeper and/or cook, with references.
Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and maintain cleanliness
Excellent time management skills.
Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
Willingness to adapt to changing schedules and tasks.
