At South Eastern Melbourne Primary Health Network (SEMPHN), we’re a not-for-profit working to create a healthier future. From GPs and hospitals to aged care and pharmacies, we connect the dots so people get the right care, in the right place, at the right time.

We support over 1.6 million people across our region, with a focus on aged care, mental health, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, digital health, and workforce development.

About the Role
As Communications Officer, you will:

Develop and implement internal and external communication strategies

Create content for digital and traditional channels – web, social, video, EDMs, newsletters

Strong written skills including writing stories, leadership messages, and key messages

A creative and curious mindset

Internal event management

Support stakeholder and community engagement activities

Contribute to internal communications and issues management

Monitor communications performance and support regular reporting

About you:

A degree in communications, PR, marketing or equivalent experience

Excellent written, verbal and digital communication skills

Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and stakeholders

Good understanding of brand, messaging, and audience engagement

Demonstrated experience with content creation including video across social media and other channels

Collaborative mindset and a proactive, solutions-focused approach

Knowledge of public health or government sectors (preferred)
