About the role

Join the dynamic team at TruGrit Australia as our HR & Compliance Coordinator. In this full-time position based in Larapinta, QLD, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's HR and compliance processes are seamlessly managed. Working closely with the management team, you will be responsible for a wide range of HR and compliance duties that contribute to the overall success of the organisation.

What you'll be doing

Arrange onboarding and offboarding. Prepare contracts and employee packs, book inductions, and complete checklists.

Keep accurate and up-to-date records in the HRIS and related registers, encompassing employee information.

Coordinate training and licenses for first aid, forklift, crane, and safety inductions. Maintain a register with expiry alerts.

Support payroll inputs. Capture changes, leave forms, and timesheet corrections for Accounts.

Coordinate safety Toolbox talk, incident and hazard reports, corrective actions to close, SDS library, PPE and uniform ordering.

Support hiring logistics. Post ads, arrange interviews, reference checks, coordinate offers.

Assist with safety audits and reporting. Tracking LTI figures.

Help with culture and events. Bookings for training days, recognition and open day logistics.

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar HR & Compliance role. Experience in a manufacturing or trades environment is advantageous.

Strong understanding of employment laws, regulations, and best practices in HR

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels

Proficient in HR information systems and Microsoft Office suite

Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities

Proactive, organised, and committed to providing exceptional service

Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is desirable
