What's the DTP Graduate Program?

Ready to turn your skills into real-world change? The Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) gives you the chance to start strong in a role that shapes how Victorians live, move and connect. • Level up with our Mentorship Program - a chance to build real-world skills, grow your confidence, and learn by actually doing the work, not just reading about it.

Make your degree mean more Whether you studied engineering, civil engineering, data science, environmental science, spatial systems, or anything in between: your ideas belong here. In 2024, our grads worked on major transport tech upgrades, smart city mapping, sustainable construction initiatives and more.

Join us and be part of a culture that celebrates innovation, diverse thinking, and meaningful community outcomes. You'll receive tailored learning and development opportunities, one-on-one mentoring, and exposure to different areas of Victoria's transport network, preparing you for a long-term career in public service.
