About the role
Permanent full time opportunity to coordinate, manage and supervise the administrative support staff within Maternity Outpatients, Ngarrama and Maternal Fetal Medicine, whilst providing efficient, effective, and courteous administrative services to the unit. Provide advice and support and consult with the Clinical Directors and Nurse Unit Managers, other medical and nursing staff and the Manager, Administrative Services on service delivery, patient activity, human resources relating to the management of administrative staff within the unit.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide leadership and supervision of staff workloads by ensuring an efficient rostering system supporting efficient and effective service delivery.
- Work as a Team Leader and a role model motivating staff working within a multidisciplinary team / unit to perform at their best and meet team, service line, and organisation objectives and having a comprehensive understanding of the core business of outpatient services.
- Identification of change methodologies to ensure clinic processes, policy and procedures meet the operational demands of the relevant Outpatient Departments.
- Work collaboratively with the Patient Options Liaison Officers (POLO's) to build and maintain knowledge of Medicare eligibility, Reciprocal Health Care Agreements, and ensure that policy and procedures are followed for administrative processes for patient classifications, i.e., Medicare Ineligible & Department of Veteran Affair (DVA) patients.
