Your Local Disability Partner are a progressive disability support service provider dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities. We are committed to promoting inclusivity, independence, and personal growth for our clients.
As part of our ongoing commitment to excellence, we are seeking passionate and dedicated NDIS Disability Workers to join our team to support our clients with in home care and disability support homes across various locations in Adelaide.
Tasks & responsibilities
Client-Centred Support: Develop and implement individualized support plans in collaboration with clients, their families, and support teams.
Personal Care: Provide assistance with daily living activities, including grooming, hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration, as required.
Community Participation: Support clients in accessing and participating in community activities, social outings, and recreational programs.
Goal Achievement: Assist clients in setting and working towards their NDIS goals, including skill development, employment, and independent living.
Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, NDIS policies, and relevant.
Qualifications & experience
Candidates with previous work experience or lived experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly advantageous.
Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or a related field (or currently studying towards).
Current NDIS clearance or willingness to apply.
Current National Police check or willingness to apply.
Mental Health, Dementia, Nursing exp preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Understanding of the NDIS framework and principles.
