The Department of Education’s Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Implementation Services Branch is seeking a senior OHS professional to deliver the Department’s expanded OHS Services Program to schools across Victoria.
In this pivotal role, you will provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship in a team of OHS Service Officers, ensuring the delivery of consistent, hands-on service to schools across the region. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Partnering with schools to complete OHS and emergency management planning tasks and offering expert advice to achieve safer schools.
Reducing the OHS and emergency management workload for schools through proactive partnership and practical solutions, including effective use of digital systems.
Fostering a customer-focused mindset and responsive service approach.
Role-modelling exceptional service delivery and building strong relationships with schools, regional offices, contracted external providers, and key stakeholders within the Division.
Leading by example, championing best practices, and driving continuous improvement in OHS and emergency management processes.
This role reports to the Manager, OHS Services (North Eastern Victoria Region) and will work closely with counterparts, OHS Service Officers and other members of the OHS Implementation Services Branch. This role also works closely with principals and school leaders and as such requires travel across the region to undertake school visits.
