The Team:
The Infrastructure Group is responsible for:
- the planning, delivery and management and maintenance of the Department of Health’s existing health assets
- a significant capital works program to upgrade existing facilities or build new facilities and
- the management of commercial arrangements including property and vehicle leases, contract development, tendering and procurement.
The Business Support Officer is expected to provide efficient and effective administrative and clerical support to the broader Infrastructure Group, which consists of approximately 130 staff across the State, that enhances service delivery and contributes to the successful delivery of the infrastructure projects and programs.
The Role:
- Proven experience in, and an understanding of, the provision of administrative and clerical support in a demanding senior management environment with the proven capacity to work effectively under pressure and meet identified timelines in undertaking a wide range of administrative duties.
- Well-developed information technology skills including knowledge of Agency software applications, the ability to use corporate records management applications and the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
- Sound knowledge of basic accounting / financial procedures and skills and experience using financial information systems.
You will need:

Details of appointment:
Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $73,811 to $79,779 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
