About CaFHS
The Child and Family Health Service (CaFHS) supports the health, development and wellbeing of South Australia’s youngest children. Each year, we provide services to 20,000 families, including 900 Aboriginal families, delivering child-centred and culturally responsive care. Working with partners across health, education, and family support, we help families access the right services at the right time, ensuring continuity of care in a child’s critical early years.

About the role
Provide nursing/midwifery services in Child and Family Health Service (CaFHS), supporting children and families. Develop from novice to proficient practice, consolidate skills through experience, and deliver safe, person-centred care in collaboration with health partners.
Key duties of the role
- Assess client needs and plan care with other disciplines
- Deliver person-centred nursing/midwifery care
- Lead quality and safety improvement activities
- Guide and support less experienced staff and students
- Provide health education to clients and families
- Contribute to research and evidence-based practice
Skills and Experience
- Registered or eligible Nurse and/or Midwife with current practising certificate (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia)
- Strong communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills
- Ability to prioritise, adapt and deliver client/family-centred care
- Experience providing safe, high-quality nursing/midwifery care
- Knowledge of standards, codes, legislation and quality systems
