Now, we're looking for skilled Auto Electricians to join our Preston team and contribute to the reliability and performance of our tram services.

About the Role

This role is primarily that of an Auto Electrician, where you will be responsible for:

• Electrical installations and upgrades
• Diagnostic testing and fault finding
• Supporting tram reliability and performance improvements

In addition to your core auto electrical responsibilities, you will be required to support production by performing tasks similar to those of a Mechanical Fitter, including but not limited to:

• Paint and preparation of tram floors
• Paint and preparation of tram roofs
• Application of mastic

You will work as part of our Reworks team on a rotating roster (morning and afternoon shifts), contributing to both new and refurbished rolling stock projects.

What You'll Bring

• Trade-qualified Auto Electrician
• Experience in manufacturing, production, or transport sectors
• Skilled at reading wiring diagrams and schematics
• Confident in diagnosing and solving electrical issues
• Willingness to support production activities beyond electrical tasks
• Independent, proactive, and collaborative
• Organised and able to manage competing priorities
