About Us:
The Victorian Road Safety Strategy 2021-2030 commits to the ambitious target of eliminating death from our roads by 2050, with the first step of halving road deaths by 2030. It also seeks to reduce the incidence of serious injury resulting from road crashes.
The Road Safety manages Victoria's road safety camera network and is a representative for the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) in Victoria's road safety partnership. Road Safety contributes to this partnership in the operation of road safety cameras, and the policy and strategic directions of the broader road safety enforcement.
About the Role:
The role is an integral senior member of the RSCP. The Senior Project Manager (SPM) will be skilful in working in a technical and outsourced environment, with experience in managing; a variety of stakeholder groups, third party providers and their associated documentation.
Some of your duties will include:
- Managing the the end-to-end process, the team, and all internal and external stakeholder groups as part of the upgrade of existing road safety camera sites.
- Acting as a liaison among stakeholders in order to understand the structure, policies, and operations of the organisation, and recommends solutions that enable the organisation to achieve its goals.
- Managing the delivery of major capital projects to meet RSCP objectives, budget, and stakeholder expectations.
- Leading and actively managing projects, including scheduling, budgeting, risk and issues management and reporting.
About You:
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in procurement of outsourced products and services including customised development in a government or large organisation environment.
- Experience in the implementation of technology and service delivery systems or equivalent within blended project teams including third party contractors and/or consultants.
- Ability in project management and the development and delivery of plans, schedules, project artefacts and other outputs from blended project teams for procurement of products and services in an outsourced environment.
- Knowledge of, and relevant experience with Project Management methodologies for example PRINCE2, Agile or other project management frameworks.
