A great opportunity exists for an experienced tax accountant to join a small accounting and tax practice that serves business and individual clients based in the Mission Beach/Cassowary Coast area of Far North Qld.

This position can be carried out fully remote and hours of work are flexible. This position is on a contract hourly basis and could become permanent for the right applicant.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:​

Preparation of Business Financial statements;

Preparation of Business Tax Returns for Sole Traders, Partnerships, Companies & Trusts;

Preparation of Business Activity Statements;

Preparation of Individual Tax Returns;

Client and ATO liaison.

Skills and Experience of ideal candidate:​

Diploma/degree qualified with a minimum of three (3) years Australian Public Practice experience in preparation of business financial statements, business income tax returns and business activity statements;

Must have Australian work rights to be eligible for this position;

Have an advanced working knowledge of Xero XPM, FYI Docs, Practice Ignition, MYOB, Xero Blue and Microsoft Excel;

Proficiency in all specified software platforms (Xero XPM, FYI Docs, Practice Ignition, MYOB, Xero Blue and Microsoft Excel) is essential for this role;

Be able to present detailed and accurate business accounts;

Be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
