Our small but diverse Company has a Permanent Part-time position available for a physically fit and capable Advanced Tree Feller/Harvester Operator to join our team for the harvesting and removal of Camphor Laurel in the Northern Rivers/Far North Coast of NSW.

• Permanent part-time 20-40+ hours per week

• Initial probationary period of 3 months

• $30-35 per hour

Duties will include:

Hand Felling trees in a Forestry environment

Selection and Harvesting of Tress with use of an Excavator with Rosin Felling Head/or similar in a Forestry Environment

Processing of Logs

Preventative Maintenance of Machines and general machine and chainsaw maintenance

Preparation of Logs for Snigging and snigging of Logs with Log Skidder

Ability to work with others in a team

Requirements

The Successful Applicant must have:

Advanced Tree Felling Skills holding relevant certificates

Harvester Operator experience using Excavator with Rosin Felling Head or similar

Log Skidder experience highly regarded

The ability to comply with safe operation of equipment practices, good safety, quality and environmental standards

Good Written and Verbal Communication skills

Physically fit with the ability to work outdoors in physically demanding conditions

Minimum “C” Class Drivers Licence

Good time Management

Certificates/Experience:

Current Chainsaw Tickets

Current Manual “C” Class Drivers Licence

First Aid

MR, HR & HC Licences an advantage but not essential

Other Machinery tickets - Excavator, Bobcat, Forklift, Front end loader and advantage but not essential.
