Chef - Aged Care Facility

The Village Baxter – Manor Residential Aged Care facility, is seeking to employ a Chef on a part-time basis, working Thursdays to Sundays 9:30am to 5:30pm.

You will be joining an established team of committed professionals in a busy, caring, and vibrant aged care facility. There’s no “nursing home bland food” on offer at the Manor because we have a passion for the quality of life and happiness of each one of our elderly residents.

You will be accountable to the Chef Manager and Resident Services Co-ordinator and will work closely with the kitchen team along with the Nurses, Care Staff and Administration Staff.

As an important function in our daily routine, you will be working to assist residents with various medical conditions and needs. For this reason, we place a strong emphasis on your ability to communicate professionally and compassionately and to conduct your work with everyone's safety in mind.

The Chef salary is based on WSG 10 PP1-6 ($33.49-$34.20). Shift allowances apply, and a 3.5% pay increase will apply from 1 July 2025.

Staff are paid weekly and are offered the opportunity to salary package up to $15,900 of their wages each year, which can significantly boost take-home pay.

A minimum of a Cert III in Commercial Cookery is required, and prior experience working within an Aged Care setting will be viewed favourably.
