Truck Driver (Water Truck) Labourer

About the role

Join the Banana Shire Council as a Truck Driver (Water Truck) / Labourer. This is a full-time position based in Biloela, QLD 4715. As a key member of the Council's road construction team, you will be responsible for the safe operation of a water truck as well as performing physical labouring work as required.

What you'll be doing

Safely operate and maintain a water truck to support road construction activities

Perform manual handling tasks such as digging, shovelling, and loading/unloading materials

Assist with general road construction work as directed

Undertake vehicle inspections and routine maintenance

Ensure full compliance with all relevant safety policies and procedures

What we're looking for

A current HR driver's licence with demonstrated experience operating heavy vehicles

The ability to carry out physical labouring tasks in a safe and efficient manner

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

A commitment to safety and a proactive approach to risk management
