To continue meeting these high standards, we are looking for a proactive and organised individual to join our team in a dual-capacity support role.

Role Overview

This newly created role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, mechanical aptitude, and an interest in technical systems. You will be responsible for coordinating the ongoing maintenance and compliance of our vehicle fleet, while also being trained to assist and eventually independently conduct preventive maintenance (PM) of our DEXA scanning equipment.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior team members to gain hands-on experience and be expected to operate autonomously in the DEXA PM domain within six months.

Key Responsibilities

Fleet Maintenance Coordination

Schedule and track regular vehicle servicing for 18 mobile Bone Buses

Coordinate emergency repairs, towing, breakdown response, and roadside assistance

Manage vehicle registration renewals and ensure timely pink slip inspections

Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service histories, and compliance documentation

Liaise with mechanics, service centres, insurance providers, and internal staff

Preventive Maintenance of DEXA Systems

Undergo structured training and mentoring from experienced DEXA technicians

Assist in regular system calibration, inspection, and software checks

Maintain service schedules and logbooks for all DEXA units

Progress toward independently conducting preventive maintenance within 6 months

Support troubleshooting and minor technical interventions as needed

Skills & Qualifications

Essential:

A degree in Biomedical Engineering or Biomedical Science is ideal with a keen interest in motor vehicles

Strong coordination and administrative skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks concurrently

Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor

Full driver’s licence (no provisional licence accepted)

Desirable:

Previous experience with fleet management, logistics, or equipment maintenance

Familiarity with medical devices, imaging equipment, or similar technology

Interest in preventive maintenance or biomedical equipment servicing

Training & Support

Full training in DEXA system preventive maintenance will be provided

Internal shadowing and hands-on experience with our senior technicians

Ongoing professional support and access to service documentation and protocols

Key Outcomes (first 6 months)

Full ownership of vehicle maintenance scheduling and compliance

Proactive reduction in vehicle downtime due to timely servicing and repairs

Ability to complete PM on DEXA systems independently by month 6

High standards of documentation and service record accuracy
