Role Overview:

As a Painter, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality finishes on a variety of surfaces, both inside and out. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding and repairing imperfections to ensure a smooth base.

Protecting adjacent areas using masking materials and drop sheets.

Mixing and matching paints, stains and coatings to achieve the desired finish.

Applying paint, varnish and specialty finishes using a range of tools and techniques.

Refining surfaces between coats to maintain a consistent, professional appearance.

Working with clients or supervisors to finalise colour selections and finishes.

Checking completed work for quality, consistency, and adherence to specifications.

Keeping painting tools and equipment clean and in good condition.

Following safety procedures at all times.

Collaborating with other trades and site supervisors to ensure timely project delivery.

Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of work areas.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

Certificate III in Painting and Decorating.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in residential and commercial painting.

Knowledge of surface preparation, paint types and application techniques.

Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.

Skilled in the use of brushes, rollers, sprayers, and other painting tools.

Attention to detail and quality.

White Card.

Driver’s Licence.

Work Safely at Heights.

National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
