Your new role:
As a Clinical Nurse within the Southern Queensland Centre of Excellence in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, culturally safe care and supporting health equity for First Nations peoples. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing advanced clinical care, leadership and problem-solving in complex patient situations.
- Supporting culturally safe practices that empower self-determination and patient choice.
- Leading and mentoring nursing staff, students and the broader healthcare team.
- Contributing to education, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
This is an identified vacancy with a genuine occupational requirement for the position to be filled by a candidate indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community. Candidates not meeting this criteria will not be considered.
About you:
We are looking for a motivated and culturally capable Clinical Nurse who is committed to improving health outcomes for First Nations peoples. You will have demonstrated:
- Advanced clinical knowledge and experience in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health or primary health care.
