Based in Somersby, Keane Ceramics continues to be one of the country’s largest manufacturers, distributors and online retailers of clay for commercial ceramics studios, professional potters, artists and hobbyists alike.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Factory Supervisor to join small but dynamic team at Keane Ceramics.

In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our factory, ensuring the smooth and efficient production of high-quality clay products. You will be responsible for driving team performance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Production Management, WHS requirements, maintaining safe work practices and ensuring production targets and KPIs are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities include

● Supervising production staff,

● Meeting Production KPIs,

● Quality control,

● Inventory monitoring, and

● Maintaining compliance with WHS and GMP standards.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Forklift licence essential; Certificate III in Manufacturing desirable

2. Experience: 5+ years’ experience in production/manufacturing (with staff supervision)

Key Skills:

1. Leadership & Team Supervision

● Ability to lead, assign tasks, mentor staff, and maintain morale while holding team members accountable.

2. Production & Process Management

● Hands-on experience running machinery, monitoring production schedules, and troubleshooting operational issues to keep workflow efficient.

3. Work Health & Safety (WHS) Knowledge

● Strong understanding of WHS laws, hazard identification, risk assessments, and enforcing safe work practices across the team.

4. Problem Solving & Decision Making

● Confidence to make quick, effective decisions under pressure to resolve production delays, equipment breakdowns, or quality issues.

5. Communication & Reporting

● Clear communication with staff, management, and other departments; strong reporting skills for incidents, stock, and production performance.

6. Other: HR Truck Licence desirable but not required
