About the role
We are seeking full time Senior Pathology Collectors to join our dedicated team within Perth (Mount Lawley, Midland & Subiaco sites). This position will suit self-motivated individuals with a high attention to detail, excellent communication skills and a strong focus on outstanding customer service.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Hospital ward rounds
Collection of blood and other samples from patients
Attending to the care, storage and processing of pathology specimens
Attend to paperwork and associated clerical duties to ensure all details are correct in a timely manner
Supervision, training and competency of staff
Auditing and maintenance of collection centres
Available to work weekends if required
To be considered for the role you will need to possess the following:
Certificate III or IV in Pathology Collection or relevant industry experience
Minimum 3 years Pathology Collection experience
Good computer skills, exceptional customer service skills and telephone manner
Exceptional time management skills
Ability to communicate effectively with the collections team, referring Doctors and patients
Ability to understand and ensure compliance with OH&S policies and guidelines to maintain a safe and healthy workplace
Current driver’s licence
