We do more than collect the bin from your street, we also convert waste into clean energy, divert food waste from landfill and convert to compost, manufacture customised waste management equipment, asbestos removal, refine and recycle oil, manage and maintain our fleet inhouse and have our own bespoke technology systems.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

We’re looking for a HR Truck Driver to join our JJ's Waste & Recycling team, operating from our Mackay depot.

In this hands-on role, you'll be behind the wheel of a modern, well-maintained vehicle, responsible for the delivery and collection of bins across the region.

You'll be combining driving with great customer service and working as part of a supportive team.

ABOUT YOU

Current HR licence

Forklift License – desirable

Previous experience in a waste services role is great, but not essential

Physical fitness and a willingness to undertake manual tasks (lifting/loading bins)

A safety-first mindset and commitment to following procedures

Good communication skills to work with team members and engage with customers

A can-do attitude and team spirit

Eager to expand your skills through cross-training in Waste Collection and RORO operations.

Pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screen

Provide your last 5 years’ traffic history

Available to work Monday to Friday, with opportunity for overtime, weekends, and public holidays as required
