Bennett Contracting and Plant Hire currently has an opportunity available for either a permanent or Contract experienced Mechanic to join our team.

Bennett Contracting and Plant Hire is a civil construction business based in Clermont Central Queensland. The family business commenced in 2008 and has continued to grow and thrive over the years. The role

As a skilled mechanic, you will be required to maintain our fleet of trucks, heavy machinery, light vehicles and auxillary equipment predominantly working on site 200kms NW of Clermont.

Core duties will include

Communicating and working effectively to support Construction activities

Completing scheduled mechanical repairs

Completing In field maintenance repairs and responding to breakdowns

Completing paper based and electronic records

Maintaining a very Safe and Clean work environment

Requirements

Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team

Mechanical or diesel fitter qualifications

Understanding and execution of safe working practices

Proven mechanical experience

Experience working on heavy vehicles

Good organisation skills
