Senior Project Engineer – Tier 1 builder - Sydney CBD

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join a leading Tier 1 builder on a landmark CBD high-rise development. This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role on a high-profile commercial tower valued in excess of $500M, with a builder renowned for delivering complex, city-shaping developments.

The Role

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will work closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team to ensure the project is delivered on time, to budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. You’ll take ownership of procurement, design coordination, subcontractor management, and project programming, while providing leadership and guidance to engineers and cadets on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage construction programs, schedules, and reporting.
• Oversee procurement of trade packages and subcontractor engagement.
• Coordinate across design, development, and site delivery teams.
• Supervise subcontractors, engineers, and cadets to ensure project outcomes.
• Monitor subcontractor claims, variations, and cost reporting.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and sustainability standards.

About You

• 5–7 years’ experience in a Project Engineer/Senior Project Engineer role.
• Background with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 commercial builder.
• Track record delivering large-scale new build projects ($100M+).
• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to see the big picture while driving detail at site level.
