The Role
Working in a highly regarded medical organisation, this role will valuably support the day-to-day property and facilities management of two offices in Sydney. We're looking for a proactive and skilled facilities and maintenance professional who thrives in a role in which they ensure a safe, functional, and professional environment for staff, members, and visitors.
Main responsibilities:
- Maintain and support buildings and facilities, ensuring all services and assets run smoothly
- Facilities administration, document management and identifying opportunities for facilities improvements
- Conduct various minor repairs, inspections, and maintenance (general handyman duties) such as replacing light globes, assembling furniture and tightening loose fixtures
- Coordinate service providers and contractors to assist onsite with major repairs and maintenance e.g. plumbers and electricians
- Support office fit-outs, relocations and sustainability initiatives
- Ensure compliance with building regulations and WHS standards
- Foster a safe, clean, and productive workplace across multiple sites
What we’re looking for:
- Strong experience in facilities or property management, with administration and contractor coordination skills
- An ability and eagerness to assist flexibly with a broad range of duties - each day will bring new tasks/challenges
- Solid understanding of WHS, building compliance, and maintenance processes
- Demonstrated skills in conducting minor repairs, inspections, maintenance and general handyman duties
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and facilities systems (e.g. JIRA, tenant portals)
- Exceptional communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
- Flexible, proactive and helpful attitude, with a consistent willingness to help various stakeholders across the organisation
- Capability to manage multiple tasks, support various projects, and work both independently and in a team
