Join us as a Human Resources Officer and play a key role in supporting the people behind this transformation - helping build the workforce that will deliver a world-class rail network for generations to come.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Initial point of contact for HR enquiries, managing the central HR inbox, ensuring oversight of tasks and activities to ensure timely and accurate responses.
• Working closely with team members and branch administrative staff to provide services on a wide range of HR activities, including recruitment and selection processes, onboarding, and establishment management.
• Producing timely and accurate workforce reports that provide managers with insightful data for proactive and effective management of their teams.
• Maintaining HR management and records systems, updating reporting dashboards (e.g. PowerBI), effectively using MSOffice365, and navigating a variety of HRIS (e.g. SpringBoard, SAP, Aurion) to facilitate efficient workforce administration.
• Identify, support and coordinate HR initiatives and projects that deliver business improvement.
Mandatory qualifications and conditions:
• Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
• Experience in a generalist human resources or an administrative role with HR functions would be highly regarded.
Requirements of the role:
• Ability to provide clear advice and guidance on a broad range of HR matters, applying an understanding of HR legislation, policies and procedures and a best practice mindset.
• Ability to make considered decisions that demonstrate and promote consistency across the Rail division, utilising sound judgment for when to escalate issues.
• Experience in building and sustaining relationships to enable the collaborative delivery of customer focused outcomes.
• Pursue opportunities for continuous learning and development to build professional knowledge and understanding of the business.
• Flexible working options are available, with a standard level of service to be maintained by the team on-site and during business hours.
