The Warehouse Coordinator plays a vital role in managing the logistics of Roundabout Canberra’s warehouse. This includes oversight of stock flow, supervision of Warehouse Assistants, and ensuring the space is safe, efficient, and welcoming for staff and volunteers.

Working closely with the Volunteer and Social Services Coordinators, the Warehouse Coordinator ensures that donations move smoothly through the warehouse and are ready to reach local families in need. The role also manages waste and recycling partnerships, facility needs, and day-to-day van coordination. This position reports to the General Manager and is based at Roundabout Canberra’s Holt premises.

The Warehouse Coordinator drives the efficient operation of Roundabout Canberra’s warehouse, overseeing stock flow, supervising Warehouse Assistants, and maintaining a safe, organised, and welcoming environment. Collaborating with Volunteer and Social Services Coordinators, the role ensures donations reach local families seamlessly while managing waste and recycling, facility needs, and van operations.

Key Responsibilities

· Maintain a safe and healthy warehouse environment for employed team members and volunteers.

· Effectively coordinate facilities management including booking and management of contractors.

· Identify and procure essential warehouse items including kitchen and office supplies.

· Facilitate the flow of goods, coordinating incoming donations, volunteer tasks and strategies for stock shortages or overflow in collaboration with Volunteer Coordinators and Social Services Coordinator.

· Develop and manage circular economy and waster partnerships (.e.g Vinnies, Goodies, Green Shed, Soft Landings, street pantries)

· Support and build relationships with material goods partners, including corporate supporters, to address gaps in essential stock. · In some instances, build and maintain relationships with material goods partners, including corporate supporters to support gaps in essential stock.

· Ensure clear communication of operational matters to team members.

· Manage the Roundabout Canberra van and communication with volunteer drivers to book waste management..

· Supervise and lead warehouse assistant/s to maintain smooth operations in the warehouse.

Knowledge/Experience Required

· Proven experience in warehouse coordination, logistics, or a similar operational environment.

· Demonstrated ability supervising or leading teams in the workplace.

· Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage stock flow and competing priorities.

· Demonstrated experience maintaining safe and healthy work practices, ideally including WHS responsibilities.

· Experience communicating clearly with a range of stakeholders, including volunteers, staff, and external partners.

· Competence using ICT systems and digital tools (e.g. Microsoft Office, CRM systems such as Salesforce).
