Supervisor – Store & Distributions

Tasfresh have an exciting opportunity for an experienced hands-on Store & Distributions supervisor to join our busy and hardworking team.

Tasfresh is Tasmania's most diverse wholesale distribution company offering our valued customers a product range spanning fresh fruit & vegetables, fresh meat, fresh poultry, frozen food, bulk and general grocery lines, beverages, confectionery, snack foods, dairy, smallgoods, specialty lines, cleaning chemicals and supplies, personal hygiene as well as commercial and retail packaging. Servicing an enormously diverse customer base from caterers, sports clubs, and corner shops to franchise chains, restaurants, hotels and supermarkets, Tasfresh has something for everyone.

This full time position, working an average of 45 hour per week is based at our Prospect (Launceston) depot plays a key role in delivering the high level of customer service we are proud of.

We are looking to employ someone for this role who is a quick learner, who can think on their feet, who enjoys working in a team environment and likes to follow a plan and will encourage others to do the same.

The essential qualities we are looking for include;

Supervisory experience in a warehouse environment.

A good understanding of OH&S principles.

Being willing to lead from the front and undertake all store and distribution duties as and when required.

A high attention to detail.

Holding a valid Forklift (FL) licence.

The following would be an advantage but are not essential;

An understanding of HACCP principles.

Prior experience in a wholesale distribution environment.

Holding a medium rigid (MR) or higher vehicle licence

Key responsibilities of the role include;

Ensure that incoming goods are accurately received and stored appropriately and in accordance with the company’s HACCP plan.

Ensure that outgoing goods are accurately and efficiently selected, packed and loaded, out of stocks recorded or product substitution issues and that paperwork is accurately completed and forwarded to the appropriate people.

Supervise delivery drivers, ensuring that deliveries are performed according to plan.

Providing guidance, direction and information to staff supervised.

Undertake all duties performed by staff reporting to you as and when required.

This is a hands on role where in addition to directing the work of others you will undertake at various times of the week all aspects of the store and distribution functions of the business. To be successful in the role you will need to be fit as well as driven to succeed and have a high attention to detail.
