Job Title: Business Process Analyst – Tertiary Education Sector (6-Month Contract)
Location: Sydney, CBD / Hybrid
Contract: 6 months
Rate: Up to $800/day + super

We are seeking an experienced Business Process Analyst with a strong background in the tertiary education sector to join a dynamic project team for a 6-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to business process improvement, stakeholder engagement, and system enhancements within a leading university environment. This is working on a payroll systems upgrade program so similar experience in process mapping acxross payroll systems would be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, refine, and maintain comprehensive process documentation (e.g., process maps, system specifications) to ensure clarity and consistency across teams.
• Capture, analyse, and translate stakeholder requirements into actionable strategies and solutions aligned with operational and strategic objectives.
• Facilitate workshops and maintain strong communication channels with internal stakeholders to ensure project alignment and clarity.
• Conceptualise, evaluate, and recommend innovative solutions while ensuring integration consistency with existing frameworks.
• Implement quality assurance protocols, ensuring all solutions meet high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams and champion stakeholder engagement strategies to drive collaboration and achieve work area objectives.
• Support reporting, compliance, and system integration, adhering to university policies and standards.
• Provide guidance and advice to staff to proactively achieve project outcomes.
• Collaborate to streamline risk management, WHS protocols, and prepare for internal evaluations.

Key Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated experience in business processes within tertiary education institutions (highly regarded but we will consider people from different industry sectors).
• Expertise in business requirements analysis, process mapping, and stakeholder engagement.
• Skilled in facilitating workshops with diverse stakeholder groups.
• Strong understanding of change management principles and agile methodology.
• Proficient in business intelligence and analytical tools.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience across process mapping tools such as Visio, Promap etc)
