Senior Data Analyst – Optimisation & Waste Reduction

We’re partnering with a leading ASX 50 organisation seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join their Operations & Supply Chain team. This role focuses on load optimisation, waste reduction, and predictive modelling, delivering insights that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support sustainability initiatives.

This is an initial 6-month rolling contract with strong potential for extension based on the pipeline of work. It’s a great opportunity to apply advanced analytics in a real-world, high-impact environment with immediate business outcomes.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing and applying analytical frameworks to solve complex optimisation challenges
• Building and maintaining predictive models to understand efficiency, usage, and consumption patterns
• Analysing waste and operational data to uncover root causes and identify opportunities for improvement
• Developing Power BI dashboards and reports to track performance and support decision-making
• Running scenario and sensitivity analysis to evaluate the impact of different strategies on cost, efficiency, and sustainability outcomes
• Partnering with stakeholders across operations, supply chain, and product teams to implement data-driven strategies
• Translating complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership and operational teams

What we’re looking for

• 3–5+ years’ experience in advanced analytics, data modelling, forecasting, or optimisation
• Proven ability to solve complex, multi-variable operational challenges
• Strong skills in Power BI, advanced Excel, and data transformation
• Experience with statistical modelling and scenario analysis
• Ability to shape analytical frameworks and influence decision-making at a strategic level
• Strong communicator who can simplify complexity and engage with diverse stakeholders
