About the role

Kingsford Lawyers is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Lawyer to join our dynamic legal team. As a Senior Lawyer, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic and high-quality legal services to our diverse range of clients. This full-time position is based in our Spotswood, Victoria office.

What you'll be doing

Providing comprehensive legal advice and support across a wide range of practice areas given we are a generalist firm. Some of the larger areas in the firm include commercial litigation, family law and wills and estates.

Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex legal documents

Advising on compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and internal policies

Leading, managing and supervising the work of junior legal professionals

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives

Staying up-to-date with industry developments and trends to provide proactive and innovative legal solutions

What we're looking for

5+ years of post-qualification experience, preferably gained within a reputable law firm or in-house legal team

Extensive expertise across a broad range of commercial legal disciplines including insolvency

Proven ability to provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice to both operational staff and senior stakeholders

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues

Excellent drafting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

Demonstrated experience in supervising and mentoring junior legal professionals
