NBDS Inc. is seeking a proactive and experienced Operations Officer to oversee daily operations within our disability support services. This leadership role supports staff performance, ensures Workplace Health & Safety compliance, and upholds the highest standards of service in line with NDIS guidelines.
Reporting to the CEO, you’ll manage rostering, WHS audits, incident reporting, staff supervision, recruitment support, and more. You’ll be instrumental in creating a positive, inclusive team culture while ensuring participants receive consistent, high-quality support.
We’re looking for someone with strong HR or operations experience, excellent organisational skills, and a genuine commitment to empowering people with disability.

Key Responsibilities
Workplace Health and Safety (WHS):
Ensure employees adhere to dress codes and safety guidelines.
Monitor employee injuries, follow up incidents, and complete reporting.
Coordinate return-to-work processes and notify WorkCover QLD of injuries.
Conduct monthly property safety audits.
Liaise with maintenance personnel to ensure property upkeep.
Coordinate and track mandatory training for all employees.
Act as the WHS Representative within the organisation.
Human Resources:
Supervise and manage employee conflict resolution.
Conduct performance reviews and regular staff supervision.
Support recruitment, onboarding, and staff development initiatives.
Lead cultural initiatives that promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and engagement.
Provide recommendations for performance management actions.
Administrative:
Submit monthly operational reports to the CEO.
Manage rostering, leave requests, and participant allocations.
Service Delivery:
Ensure staff are prepared and aligned with daily schedules and allocation sheets.
Supervise employees to ensure service delivery aligns with NDIS standards.
Lead coordination of major events such as the annual EKKA or Big Day Out.
Provide feedback and support to improve staff-participant interactions.
Willingness to support teams working with challenging behaviours and physical aggression.
Must Have:
Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check – QLD)
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Current First Aid Certificate
Current CPR Certificate
