THE ROLE
Port Lincoln Leisure Centre is seeking an energetic and inspiring Health & Fitness Director to champion physical activity and lead our health and fitness programs. In this leadership role, you'll drive participation, oversee high- quality service delivery and create opportunities for people of all ages to thrive. Strong planning, reporting, marketing, and communication skills are essential.
We are also looking for someone who creates a fun and exciting work atmosphere that is driven, hardworking, goal orientated and demonstrates the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the performance of the health club, group fitness and personal training programs including achieving targets, budgets, KPI’s, safety, intervention of non-performance and staff development
Champion community health and wellbeing by promoting the benefits of physical activity and creating opportunities for people to connect through fitness.
Provide leadership, training, and support to fitness staff, personal trainers, and group fitness instructors, fostering a positive and high-performing team culture.
Deliver exceptional customer service by handling enquiries, supporting members, and ensuring a welcoming, professional environment.
Develop, implement, and promote programs and events such as launches, masterclasses, and community initiatives that encourage engagement.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Successful candidates will also have, or be willing to obtain:
Cert IV in Fitness
(HLTAID0011) Provide First Aid or equivalent
(HLTAID009) Provide CPR or equivalent
Certificate of completion for “Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect” (RRHAN-EC) training
2 years of experience in the industry
Excellent interpersonal skills and highly developed communication skills
Proven capability to build strong and positive relationships with key stakeholders
