Qualified Chef or experienced Cook for busy beachside cafe!

Exciting new opportunity to be a part of The Booley crew! We are experiencing steady growth and now require additional team for our kitchen. We are seeking a qualified Chef or experienced Cook, working under our Head Chef and Sous Chef. The Menu is focused on local, seasonal produce, done with a bit of a difference. No nights so great work life balance. Right across from the iconic Alex Beach (you can see a glimpse of the ocean from the kitchen..)! We are trading 7 days a week, 6am till 1:30pm.

The role

The ideal candidate would suit an experienced professional that is seeking additional work; is returning to work on a casual basis; or simply wants casual hours to suit their lifestyle. A history of working in a busy, fast-paced breakfast service with an eye for detail is required. Someone that can maintain the standards set by the Head Chef and wants to be a part of a growing business who values quality produce and local suppliers, genuine customer service, and team culture.

Tasks and reasonability

Work a busy breakfast service

Prepare food for service to a high standard

Is clean and tidy

Self-motivated and has a strong work ethic

Experience in baking desirable but not essential

15 - 30 hours per week with the opportunity for more

You'll be perfect for this role if you have:

Cookery and/or Chef qualifications

A positive attitude and passion for food

Enjoy working in a Team environment

Fine dining cuisine experience is an advantage

Worked in a fast-paced breakfast cafe

Minimum 6 months of breakfast service experience is required

A passion for innovative cooking techniques

A modern approach to kitchen and food management

Creativity in food plating

A positive and professional demeanour

Availability on both days on the weekend

Valid work authorisation to work in Australia is required
