We're looking for a dynamic ECT to partner with our existing ECT in a growing new centre. Experience in early years education (0-5years) is preferred. For this role the applicant must have either a completed ECT qualification approved by ACECQA such as a Bachelor in Early Education or equivalent, be Diploma qualified and now working towards completing an approved ECT qualification, or have completed 50% of an approved ECT course and therefore be able to count as working towards.

What you will do in this role?

Work closely with our existing ECT and room leaders to develop our centre education and planning & assessment cycles.

Work closely together with other educators in our rooms, and across the centre, to achieve goals.

Work with our families, and our community, to promote the best practices in customer service in an early learning centre environment.

Be someone that other educators can look up to and learn from.

Ensure legal compliance and uphold child safety standards, including mandatory reporting obligations.

What are we looking for?

Preferred previous experience as an ECT in an early childhood education setting.

Completed training will be highly valued but working towards may be considered.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to guide and inspire educators, build team cohesion, and foster collaborative relationships.

Experience in developing or implementing a program in a team.

A person who is adaptive, pro-active and solution focused.

Personable and demonstrated experience communicating with families and other key stakeholders.

A commitment to creating a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for children of all backgrounds and abilities.

Discovery Cove ELC is a 90 place centre in the heart of the growing Austin Lakes development, in South Yunderup, WA. Discovery Cove ELC opened with 3 rooms in November, 2024 and has grown quickly, with our 4th room opening at the start of March, 2025.
