Estimator - Custom Joinery

Ryde Joinery is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our Management Team.

Operating for over 50 years, we specialise in high profile commercial projects including pub/club, office, hotels, shop and high-end residential work fit outs. We work with well-known builders and architects to produce award-winning results (as recognised by the Australian Shop and Office Fitting Industry Association (ASOFIA)).

This role requires an understanding of the design and joinery construction process.

The successful applicant will be self-motivated, and demonstrate excellent attention to detail and be a positive team player.

The role:

You will be responsible for reviewing and interpreting architectural design drawings and plans to calculate and submit cost estimates;

Understanding of general building and joinery industry terminology, building regulations and interior fit-out process;

Liaising with clients to understand budget, pricing and scope;

Periodic review and analysis of past project performance;

Willing to take responsibility and grow within your role;

Working with key business stakeholders to deliver best for project outcomes for our clients;

Working collaboratively with Management, factory and site staff to achieve outcomes; and

Opportunities also available to attend Site and tender meetings.

Skills and Experience:

3+ years minimum experience in commercial estimating (5+ years preferred);

Knowledge in the commercial joinery and fit-out industry (trade qualification in joinery desirable although not a prerequisite);

Excellent communication skills;

Strong administration, organisational and problem solving skills; and

Strong attention to detail.
