The Opportunity

We are seeking passionate and qualified electricians to join our growing team. As a Solar Electrician at Technaus Solar, you will play a key role in installing, maintaining, and commissioning solar PV and battery systems. This is a full-time opportunity to work on exciting renewable energy projects across the region.

Skills and Responsibilities:

As an electrician at Technaus Solar, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing solar panel systems. Your key duties/skills will include:

Conducting site inspections to assess system requirements and feasibility

Reviewing the existing drawings, wiring diagrams and specifications and operational philosophies

Installing PV generations systems including solar panels, wiring, inverters, and batteries ensuring seamless integration with existing electrical systems/power supply

Identify and understand the layout, conduct continuity checks, positioning the switch boards, termination and connection points as required

Provide input and revisions to wiring diagrams, ensuring alignment with project specifications and method statements.

Use appropriate installation, testing and diagnostic tools

Repairing or replacing faulty components and trouble shooting.

Assist sales, estimation and pricing team

Test, commission, and maintain solar and battery systems, ensuring compliance with QA/QC standards.

Adhere to safety regulations and industry standards, ensuring a safe working environment.

Maintaining accurate records and documentation of work performed

Adhering to all relevant safety and regulatory requirements

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:

Proven experience in solar panel and battery system installation and maintenance

Strong knowledge of electrical and battery systems and components

Excellent problem-solving skills, work ethics, and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Note that where supervised job is a licence condition work shall be under the direct supervision of the qualified supervisor

Excellent communication and customer service skills

A commitment to safety and adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements

Previous experience in similar role/capacity

Assistance to interstate transfer will be provided

A valid electrical licence, Qualified Electrical licence, SAA/CEC Solar Accreditation licence or the eligibility to obtain this certification
