Assistant Accountants (Accounting)

Full time

$70k - $75k + super

Eagers Automotive’s Brisbane Administration Team, located in Newstead, has an opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join their team. This role has become available due to an opening and is ideal for someone looking to develop in a supportive environment.

Reporting to the Senior Accountant, you will have a broad range of responsibilities including:

Bank and balance sheet reconciliations

Support the accounts payable/receivable functions

Support the deal processing/admin functions

Journal entries

Month-end preparation and reporting

Liaising with internal and external stakeholders

Ad hoc duties as required

Ideal candidate for this role:

Automotive industry experience desired (not essential)

3+ years proven work experience as an Assistant Accountant or Senior Accounts role

Strong understanding of general accounting principles and processes

Confident in managing reconciliations, journals, and month-end support

Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Proficient in Excel and ERP systems

Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
