Workfast are looking for a motivated Turf Assistant for a permanent position based at the iconic Commonwealth Park in Canberra, ACT.

• 6:30 am - 2:36 pm
• Immediate start
• $30 - 31 per hour + OT + super

What you will be doing:

• Performing detailed turf maintenance across premium public parklands
• Operating ride-on mowers (including Zero Turn), edgers, blowers, and other turf equipment
• Laying, repairing, and maintaining turf surfaces to a high standard
• Irrigation, fertilisation, and weed control
• Supporting broader landscape maintenance tasks as needed
• Maintaining clean and safe workspaces
• Collaborating with the team and reporting to the site supervisor

What you need:

• Qualification in Turf Management / Horticulture, OR currently studying / 2nd–3rd year apprentice
• Hands-on experience operating ride-on mowers (Zero Turn)
• Experience in high-detail turf maintenance or groundskeeping beneficial
• Strong team player with a positive, can-do attitude
• Eagerness to grow into leadership roles
• Full working rights in Australia
