About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team at AMBER TILES Forster, NSW location. This part-time position will involve assisting customers with their flooring and home furnishing needs and supporting the overall operations of the store.

What you'll be doing

Providing excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers, answering questions, and helping them find the perfect products for their needs

Demonstrating flooring and home furnishing products and advising customers on selection, pricing, and installation options

Maintaining the store's appearance and organization, including restocking shelves and displays

Processing sales transactions and handling cash and payments accurately

Supporting the store manager with administrative tasks as required

Assisting customers in selecting tiles, bathware, and renovation products

Delivering expert advice and exceptional in-store service

Collaborating with homeowners, architects, and interior designers

Maintaining showroom presentation and visual merchandising

Handling admin tasks like phone calls, data entry, and order processing

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a retail or customer service role, preferably in the home furnishings or flooring industry

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with and assist customers

Excellent product knowledge or a willingness to learn about our product range

Keen attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work weekends and evenings as required

2-3 days per week 9-4pm and rotating fortnightly Saturdays 9-12pm
