This brand-new, government-owned childcare and kindergarten centre at Wedderburn College in Wedderburn, one hour north-west of Bendigo, offers an exceptional opportunity to make a lasting impact in your career.

Opening its doors in 2026, the purpose-built 90-place centre provides childcare and kindergarten for three and four-year-olds, with plans to expand to pre-prep. The centre operates Monday to Friday, 7 am to 6 pm, providing options for both full-time and part-time employment.

There is a incentive of up to $10k available to assist with relocation. Join now for a start date of 10 December 2025 and you may be eligible for a commitment bonus of up to $4,000. Or start in January 2026.

The Early Childhood Room Leaders will lead the team to deliver high-quality early childhood education and care, guided by evidence-informed, contemporary pedagogy and practice, which is aligned with the National Quality Standards, Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and National Education and Care Law and Regulations.

Your key responsibilities will include;

• Leading the planning and programming in consultation with other educators to uphold the centre's educational program and philosophy.
• Ensuring practices are in line with national standards and regulations.
• The Room Leader collaborates with the management team to role model pedagogical practices aligned with the educational philosophy, foster a positive work culture by mentoring educators, as well as playing a key role in engaging with families to nurture a supportive environment.
• Supports the creation of a positive learning environment by thoughtfully designing spaces which facilitate learning and rich interactions.
• Uses respectful communication to guide and support children’s social, emotional and cognitive development.

You are a Diploma qualified Educator who loves working in a collaborative culture and values building effective relationships with children, families and colleagues to maximise impact of the centre in the local community.

The service is open from 7am till 6pm, so flexibility will be required to work a roster during those hours.
