The opportunity

Thomas Borthwick & Sons (Australia) Pty Ltd, a leading beef processing company, is seeking skilled Meat Workers including Boners, Slicers and Slaughterers to join their team in Mackay, Queensland. This is a full-time role with the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing organisation.

Key responsibilities

Expertly prepare meat products through boning, slicing and slaughtering procedures

Ensure all meat processing activities adhere to strict health, safety and quality standards

Operate specialised machinery and equipment with a high level of care and precision

Collaborate with the wider production team to maintain efficient workflow and productivity

Participate in ongoing training to continuously develop your skills and knowledge

Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Boner, Slicer or Slaughterer in a commercial meat processing environment

Exceptional dexterity, hand-eye coordination and attention to detail

Strong understanding of meat processing techniques, quality control and food safety regulations

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment

Commitment to upholding high standards of health and safety

Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
